My Monday Pick of the Week: Marc Johns

Today I lost myself in the Internet, again. But this time, not to watch baby whales videos on YouTube or other exciting things. I have found out about illustrator and artist Marc Johns, and I'm over-obsessed. In spite of drawing things for National Geographic, Newsweek, Google and others — yeah, just that — Marc Johns is an amazing artist who draws emotional and cute doodles enhanced by inspiring and simplistic quotes. This artist from Canada has definitely conquered my heart. Johns draws childishly minimalistic scenes that can apply to the daily life, and his overflowing imagination seems limitless. Marc Johns is definitely a safe bet. Don't be surprised if by a month or too you'll find yourself drinking from ten different Marc Johns illustrated mugs, like me!

As I was writing earlier, the most exciting about Marc Johns is not so much his awesome drawing skills but it is also a matter of the message delivered with each drawing. It is about philosophy and fun, about messed up things of daily life. It is a message that says, "You have to keep going". And it is much better when it is said by an ice-cream cone, isn't it?

Marc Johns makes me incredibly happy.
There, I said it.
And do you know what I think,
I think you should check him out
and let him know how amazing he is.
Just for the fries' sake. x
